Police report that drugs were a contributing factor in an accident that took place on the Eisenhower Expressway in the afternoon hours of May 8th. The crash occurred when a 2005 Nissan was rear-ended by a 1993 Chevy while parked on the shoulder. Eduardo Moreno Torres, the driver of the Nissan, was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly after the incident. Another passenger in the Nissan car was also seriously injured, but none are life threatening, luckily. While formal tests are still taking place, the driver of the Chevy is believed to have been driving while high, which is not only illegal, but in this case deadly.
This is an extremely difficult time for the Torres family, and would be for any other family who suffers such a tragic loss, but further action is needed. In these situations it is also important to involve legal professionals so a 3rdparty investigation can take place and so that proper steps can be taken to ensure that you receive your deserving compensation for any injuries that you may have sustained.
